Yesterday I didn't post my picture, but I did take one. : ) We were babysitting this little cutie! : )

For today, I took pictures of the fat cat that came and sat on me. He got brushed this morning, and I think he wanted more.
His hair was SO soft and shiny today. A very handsome kitty. ; )

It was a rainy day today. The mountain across from my house is all foggy and lovely.. I've been away from the computer for a few days...and the camera. I remembered I was wanting to take pictures and post them, but simply didn't get around to it. I was decluttering. : ) Always fun. ; )

1-24-09

Today my DH burned all the brush he's been cutting lately. He's wearing a hard hat because an ember fell into his hair and burned it. ; )

He trimmed our apple tree. I was hoping it could stay to provide meals for a sapsucker, but he thought it would be better to go ahead and trim it. He did leave some limbs with markings, so I assume the sapsucker will still be able to find food on it.
Doesn't he look like a man proud of what he's accomplished? lol

A Basketball Game!

My youngest daughter plays basketball...I think there's a fairy in this picture; in front of the chairs. She's #4. And a Wildcat. ; )

And my beautiful niece is a pickpocket. lol (JK!) It's her 10th birthday today!

Our New Chess Set

Isn't that just the cutest thing ever?!? lol I wish I could take credit for thinking of it, but I saw a pic online and thought, "I can do that!" ; )

I need one more little girl to make it even...Anna and I looked on ebay and have you seen the prices on those little people? It's amazing! If I ever get tired of playing with mine I can get my $$$ back out of them...and more....since I bought most of mine at a thrift store for less than $1 for the whole lot. ; )

01-20-09

Today was SO cold all I could think of was heat! I spent most of the day cuddled up under blankets on the couch with Anna and Oscar, and didn't get around to taking pictures until late this evening, and then I couldn't think of anything I wanted to take a picture of more than our heater ~ working!!

You see, it stopped working around the end (28th or so) of December, and we've been using little space heaters and a kerosene heater, and it's been SO cold. Now it's finally working again, and it's 72* in here! And I am LOVING it!

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

We're claiming it! The last few weeks have been hard ~and cold~ but we're trusting that something better will come of all of it!

New Blog...First Post...

I was reading last night in Smithsonian Magazine an article (unfortunately not online, but in this issue) which said, "...in December 1999, he came up with what he calls a 'whimsical notion...This time I wouldn't speed across that covered bridge to get to the big event on the other side, but instead I would slow down a bit, maybe even pause to take a picture of the bridge."


Made me want to slow down, too...get my camera out more...


Which made me think, I'll need a place to *put* my pictures.
